In the hot summer months, there are times when electrical supplies cannot meet demand. To help reduce consumption and allow utilities to manage demand without brownouts or investment in costly generation capacity, Kodi Collective participates in several Demand Response programs. These programs, offered by some local utilities, ask large industrial users to reduce consumption during peak demand periods. We have committed to Demand Response programs in two of our large print plants in the U.S. to date, and plan to expand these programs to more of our locations in the near future.

Oxidizers are devices used to control emissions from printing processes. Kodi Collective continues to invest in emerging technologies that use significantly less natural gas while achieving better overall performance. Nationwide, 11 such oxidizers are installed in Kodi Collective facilities. These enhanced devices save the equivalent of million and a half gallons of gasoline every year over alternative designs.

Kodi Collective works with several locations triple-certified to Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®), Sustainable Forestry Initiative® (SFI®), and Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) chain of custody (COC) requirements. Kodi Collective provides a ready line of supply to FSC®-certified paper for your printing needs. The FSC® logo printed on your project will indicate that the paper used came from a forest managed according to certain international standards. It is another way to illustrate your corporate consciousness and willingness to promote responsible environmental practices.
